The grandmaster from Poland wins the Second World Cup on chess compositions solving
On February 7 shortly before the end of the main tournaments of the festival the World Cup on chess compositions solving ended, which was held within the Moscow Open (tournament “F”) for the second year at a row. 28 players from 7 countries were participating in this tournament: from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and Japan.
The winner of the Cup is the current world champion polish grand master Piotr Murdzia. He scored 86 points after 2 playing days. The world and Europe champion Russian grand master Georgy Evseev wins the silver (80,5). The international master from Belarus Alexander Bulavka (76,75) wins the bronze which was very unexpected for most of the specialists
The main referee of the tournaments merited president of the Russian chess federation grand master for chess compositions Andrey Selivanov noted the good level of the tournament organization. – Under support of the Moscow Chess Federation and Russian State Social University we are ready to run the third World Cup for chess compositions within the Moscow Open, - added Selivanov.
